DKV Universitas Negeri Malang Promotes Environmental Campaign during Ramadan via Instagram

In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Program at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) has launched an environmental campaign through its official Instagram account. This campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation during Ramadan, in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 – Climate Action.
On March 12, 2024, DKV UM posted creative illustrations and videos offering tips and tricks for observing Ramadan in an environmentally friendly manner. The content includes practical advice such as reducing single-use plastics, conserving energy, and minimizing food waste during suhoor and iftar.
Additionally, the campaign emphasizes the significance of recycling and using eco-friendly products in daily life. DKV UM invites students and the wider community to actively participate by sharing simple steps they take to support the environment during Ramadan using the hashtag #RamadanGreenDKV.
This campaign not only aims to educate but also to encourage positive behavior change. DKV UM hopes that by disseminating these messages, students and the public will become more aware of the environmental impact of their actions and be motivated to make wiser and more sustainable choices.
This initiative reflects Universitas Negeri Malang’s commitment to supporting education that focuses not only on academic aspects but also on developing environmental awareness and social responsibility. By integrating environmental issues into campus activities, DKV UM strives to create a younger generation that is more caring and proactive in addressing climate change challenges.
