CHINESE LANGUAGE STUDY PROGRAM STUDENTS HELP IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY TO CLEAN WATER THROUGH MBKM INTERNSHIP AT AMDK TIRTA KANJURUHAN MALANG

Students of the Chinese Language Study Program of the State University of Malang and AMDK Tirta Kanjuruhan conducted internship activities to facilitate access to clean water and sanitation in Malang City. AMDK Tirta Kanjuruhan is a bottled drinking water factory in Malang Regency. AMDK Tirta Kanjuruhan produces various types of bottled drinking water, namely 240 ml bottled drinking water, which contains 48 cups in 1 carton; 330 ml bottled drinking water, which holds 24 bottles in 1 carton, then 600 ml bottled drinking water which contains 24 bottles in 1 carton, 1500 ml bottle packaging which includes 12 bottles in 1 carton, and 19-liter gallon packaging. Tirta Kanjuruhan AMDK producer is a bottled drinking water factory that has met product standardization, namely the provisions of SNI (Indonesian National Standard), has a food distribution permit from BPOM (Food and Drug Supervisory Agency), and meets halal certification from MUI (Indonesian Ulama Council).

Chinese Language Study Program students are placed in the Office Administration, production, and marketing/delivery departments. In the office administration section, students help work on general administration. Then, in the production section, students help make carton packaging, fill 19-liter gallons, help put shrink/labels on 330 ml and 600 ml bottles, and help pack 240 ml cups. Then, in the product marketing section, students help the shipping department deliver Tirta Kanjuruhan AMDK products to consumers and distributors in the note-writing area. Internship activities are carried out six days a week with a working time of approximately eight working hours starting at 07.00 – 15.00 WIB. This internship lasted four months, from September 05, 2022, to December 31, 2022.
