State University of Malang Language and Literature Month 2024: Improving Literacy and Quality Education through Creative Activities

State University of Malang (UM) is proud to hold the 2024 Literary Language Month (BBS UM) in October. This activity aims to increase interest and love for language and literature among students and the general public. In the BBS UM 2024 series, there are three main activities that are interesting and educational.

First, the Language and Literature Literacy Festival is an event to explore the creativity of the younger generation through various competitions such as creating poetry, reading geguritan, and writing short stories. This festival is expected to foster a spirit of creativity and strengthen literacy skills among students and university students.

Secondly, RUMILUS (Library Science Scientific Forum) will be held online, presenting seminars and article competitions that discuss the role of libraries as pillars of knowledge and community learning. This activity aims to raise awareness of the importance of access to information and the development of library science.

Third, the National Seminar and Article Competition are the culmination of the UM 2024 BBS series. This seminar will present expert speakers who discuss current issues in the world of language and literature, while the article competition invites participants to express their critical thinking in writing.

With these various activities, BBS UM 2024 is expected to create an atmosphere that supports the development of language and literature, and makes a positive contribution to education and literacy in Indonesia. This activity is a concrete step in building awareness and love for language and literature in society.
