On 29th April 2024, Self Access Center (SAC) Germany organized a special screening of the film “Operation Valkyrie” at the mini theater on the 8th floor of building A20. The event attracted students and faculty interested in exploring the historical and moral themes presented in the film.
Before the screening, a brief introduction was provided, offering historical context on the events behind “Operation Valkyrie”, which depicts the efforts of German officers to overthrow the Nazi regime. After the film, attendees participated in an interactive discussion, focusing on the importance of courage in the face of oppression and the role of individuals in promoting peace and justice. This conversation aimed to foster awareness about the significance of integrity and accountability in governance.
Through this event, SAC Germany encouraged participants to reflect on human values that can be applied to everyday life, particularly in creating a more just and peaceful society.
