On 13th September 2024, Self Access Center (SAC) Germany held a Deutsch Club event at the GKB A20 building, 8th floor, with Yovika as the mentor. The event focused on teaching the basics of the German language to participants from various backgrounds and open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, or educational background, providing an inclusive learning environment where participants could build foundational language skills. By offering free language education, SAC Germany aimed to break down barriers that often prevent marginalized groups from accessing quality learning opportunities, thereby reducing social and economic inequalities.
Yovika, the mentor, led the session with an engaging and accessible approach, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to those with some familiarity with the language, could follow along. The event also emphasized how learning a new language like German can provide individuals with greater access to education, work opportunities, and cross-cultural understanding, thus helping them overcome social limitations.
This initiative not only promoted language learning but also fostered a sense of equality and inclusivity by offering opportunities for people from all walks of life. Through events like the Deutsch Club, SAC Germany continues to contribute to reducing inequalities, empowering individuals with skills that open doors to both personal and professional growth.
