The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) is an important initiative organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with the Musike SJ Foundation. This activity will last for one week, starting from September 1 to 7, 2024, at Building D14, Visual Audio Hall, State University of Malang. This event aims to preserve and develop Indonesian traditional music that emphasizes peace, justice, and strong institutions.
During the activity, students of Fine Arts Education, State University of Malang played an active role by providing testimonials in the form of videos taken by the chief executive of the 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia). This activity is not only a place for students to be creative, but also a platform to educate the public about the importance of traditional music conservation.
The peak of the event was held on the night of September 6 to 7, 2024 at UBTV, where participants could showcase their work and innovations. The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) is expected to be a catalyst to create awareness of the importance of traditional music and sustainability in culture. By involving the younger generation, it is hoped that Indonesian traditional music will continue to live and adapt to the times, while maintaining its rich cultural identity.
