The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) is an initiative organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) together with the Musike SJ Foundation. This activity aims to preserve and develop Indonesian traditional music with an innovative approach.
Students of Fine Arts Education, State University of Malang are encouraged to attend the peak of the Lokovasia event, which will be held on September 6-7, 2024 at UBTV. In addition to increasing their insight in the field of music, their presence is expected to enliven this event, which will be attended by participants from all over Indonesia, including East Java, West Java, Central Java, East Nusa Tenggara, Bali, and other regions.
The peak of the 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) focuses on access to clean and affordable energy. Through this activity, it is hoped that there will be synergy between art and environmental issues, as well as increased awareness of the importance of sustainability in art practices. The 2024 Indonesian Traditional Music Conservation and Innovation Workshop (Lokovasia) also provides a platform for participants to share knowledge and experiences, so that they can create innovations in preserving traditional music. Thus, Lokovasia is not only a place for learning, but also encourages collaboration and creativity in preserving Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
