READING AS A FORM OF IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMUNITY READING PARK (TBM) BASED ON SOCIAL INCLUSION

Various kinds of efforts have been made by the community to support literacy improvement by developing a Community Reading Park (TBM) as an informal educational institution. The presence of TBM in the midst of the community is expected to be a means of independent learning, so that in the Technical Instructions for Assistance for the Implementation of the Community Reading Gardens Program, TBM is defined as a place for organizing various activities aimed at developing and increasing interest in reading and developing community literacy by utilizing all the potential of human resources and resources. natural resources in accordance with the needs of local communities. From this, the question arises “what is the form of implementation carried out by the Community of Gubuk Baca in implementing TBM services based on social inclusion and the role of Gubuk Baca in creating a smart, skilled and creative society?” and finally this activity was carried out.

This activity will be held from April 23, 2021 to completion on July 16, 2021. The location of this activity is in the Jabung District, Malang Regency. The number of informants we met in the field and became our primary data source were 4 resource persons who were the core administrators of the Republik Gubuk community including Mr. Irul who served as the Manager of the State Lantern Reading Hut and also the “president” or chairman and pioneer of the Republik Gubuk Community. The second informant, Mr. Abit, is the caretaker of the Lereng Busu Reading hut and also the “general” or coordinator of the Preman Teaching Informant Program. The third, Mr. Arif as the caretaker of the Pangestu Nusantara Reading hut and also as an advisor for the activities of BUMI Hut. The fourth, Mr. Dony Wondo who is the Secretary of the Community of the Republic of Huts.

The results of these activities state that the activities that are part of the program at the Republik Gubuk Community are a form of social inclusion-based library services which are in line with the concept of social inclusion-based library services developed by Utami and Prasetyo which describes several aspects, namely reading huts as facilitators in developing growth potential. economy, reading huts as a vehicle for problem solving, reading huts as a center for community activities, and reading huts play an active role in the literacy movement through various activities such as BUMI Gubuk (Hut-Owned Enterprise), Preman Teaching, People’s Campus, mobile library movement, and others. etc.
