The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for freshmen to showcase their artistic talents while fostering a deeper understanding of gender equality. During the department orientation program, held at the Precet Forest Park from September 14 to 15, 2024, a male freshman from the Dance and Music Education program became the center of attention. His performance was witnessed by all students of the Department of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design and Dance & Music Education, State University of Malang, becoming a platform to raise awareness about the importance of promoting gender equality in the arts and society.

Through his performance, the student demonstrated how art can be a powerful medium to challenge gender stereotypes, celebrate diverse identities, and promote equal opportunities for all. The event aims to encourage dialogue between students from various artistic backgrounds, highlighting the roles of men and women in fostering a more just and inclusive society.

Set in the tranquil setting of Precet Forest Park, the event highlighted the importance of arts education in advancing gender equality, offering a safe space for expression and dismantling traditional gender roles. By supporting and celebrating artistic talent, regardless of gender, the department is reinforcing its commitment to integrating its educational approach, creating a more inclusive environment where creativity and equality can thrive together.
