The German Language Department of Malang State University collaborates with Goethe-Institut Indonesia. The Goethe-Institut Indonesia is holding a science exhibition emphasizing the importance of understanding the environment, the Earth, and humanity in this increasingly complex world. The exhibition will take place for one month, from August 15 to September 10, 2024, at the Malang Creative Center building in Malang City.
This exhibition is the third edition after being held in two previous locations: the Geological Museum in Bandung and the National Library in Jakarta. The Goethe-Institut Indonesia proudly presents a science exhibition that highlights five main topics: “Earth, Human History, the Universe, the Anthropocene, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)”—a profound journey exploring the relationship between our planet, human life, and the vast cosmos. The Goethe-Institut Indonesia is proud to present a stunning science exhibition focusing on five highly relevant and intriguing topics: “Earth, Human History, the Universe, the Anthropocene, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).” This exhibition presents a comprehensive scientific journey, from an in-depth exploration of our planet and the evolution of human history to an understanding of the structure and dynamics of the vast universe. The Anthropocene topic will discuss the significant impact of human activities on the Earth. At the same time, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) segment offers a futuristic perspective on how this technology is shaping our future. By combining cutting-edge scientific information with stunning visual presentations, this exhibition aims not only to educate but also to encourage visitors to reflect on our role in the global ecosystem and the impact of technology on our lives.
At the exhibition, in collaboration with the German Language Department of Malang State University, the Head of the German Literature Department, Dr. Dewi Kartika Ardiyani, S.Pd., M.Pd., revealed that around 16 students from the German Literature program of UM from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts were also mobilized to assist in the organization of this event. This active involvement of students from the German Literature program not only enriches their learning experience but also makes them integral to the success of this exhibition.
The Universum Exhibition. Human. Intelligence serves as a testament to the power of international collaboration in enriching the educational experience of the Indonesian community. Through the joint efforts of the Goethe-Institut Indonesia, UM German Literature, and the German Language Department of Malang State University, this exhibition transcends borders and brings together science, culture, and language in a way that is truly global.
