In today’s interconnected and technology-driven world, the role of art and design in today’s economy is more important than ever. The interaction between creativity and technology has transformed what we see into something more valuable. And to thrive in this new world, our children must be digitally literate and become creative thinkers capable of adapting to a constantly changing environment. Therefore, schools should also focus on artistic education rather than vocational or skills training to support this goal. This also includes creating opportunities and abilities for students of all ages so that not only those interested in pursuing a career in art or design but also all aspects of students are equipped with the knowledge of art and design. Moreover, they can explore their creativity without feeling they waste time because they don’t want to or are not good enough at doing math/science subjects like programming or engineering and issues outside the arts.
The main discussion of this seminar is that art and design are not only about aesthetics but also about digital literacy, which allows us to create new spaces for ourselves. We must be critical in our approach to technology, which is why we must teach students how it affects their lives and society. This conference is held in order to support the quality of education in the fields of art and design.
