The Indonesian Literature Department Student Association (HMD) of the State University of Malang proudly organized a literacy service activity in the form of a seminar. This event was held on August 8, 2024, at SMPK YBPK Sitijarjo, Malang Regency. This seminar aims to deepen understanding and increase interest in literacy among junior high school students.

This seminar presented two competent speakers in their fields: Ahmad Junaidi, S. S., M. A., an academic in the field of literature, and Eko Browi Untoro, a writer and literacy activist. Ahmad Junaidi will discuss the importance of literacy in the context of literature and how to integrate it into everyday life. At the same time, Eko Browi Untoro will focus on creative strategies to increase reading interest among teenagers.

The event is designed to be highly interactive, with engaging question-and-answer sessions and lively discussions to ensure the active participation of all attendees. Through this seminar, HMD Sastra Indonesia aims to inspire the students of SMPK YBPK Sitijarjo to develop a more profound love and appreciation for reading and writing, thereby enhancing their literacy skills for the future.
