HMD Sastra Indonesia Successfully Carries out Literacy Service

On August 3, 2024, the Indonesian Literature Department Student Association (HMD Sastra Indonesia) held a Literacy Service activity at SMPK YBPK Sitiarjo, Malang Regency. This activity aims to increase interest and literacy skills among SMPK YBPK Sitiarjo students and promote the importance of reading and writing as part of self-development.

In this event, Indonesian Literature students were directly involved in various interactive activities designed to motivate students to be creative and explore the world of literacy. Activities included shared reading sessions, book discussions, and writing workshops to broaden students’ horizons and literacy skills. Participants had the opportunity to interact with students who shared their knowledge and experience in the field of literature.

HMD Sastra Indonesia also introduced a reading corner in the school environment as part of this initiative. This reading corner, equipped with a collection of interesting and educational books, is more than just a space. It’s a place that aims to create a pleasant reading atmosphere, inspire students, and support daily literacy habits.

Through this “Bakti Literasi” activity, we hold high hopes for the future. It is our sincere wish that SMPK YBPK Sitiarjo students can improve their literacy skills as well as develop a love of reading and writing. We believe that this will contribute significantly to character building and the development of a strong character.
