Sambang Panti is an annual event organized by HMD Art and Design, State University of Malang which is eagerly awaited by Art and Design students. This event is a celebration of diversity and humanity held at the Abdul Kadir Kurnia Orphanage, with the theme GEMBIRA, which stands for “Youth Movement of the Department of Art and Design Sharing in the Month of Ramadhan”. The main focus of this activity is social service, activities carried out in the holy month of Ramadhan. It is hoped that, especially for the youth audience, the Department of Art and Design can reflect the values of solidarity, strengthen the nature of sharing, mutual help, and togetherness which is an integral part of religious teachings. Apart from that, it is hoped that the Sambang Panti Vol.3 activity will be beneficial for the Abdul Kadir Kurnia Orphanage.

The activity started with a creative session making beads together. Teenagers who joined this movement brought various colors and shapes of beads, as well as guides for creating beautiful bracelets and necklaces. Not just making jewelry, this activity is also a place to share stories and laugh together, warming the atmosphere among the orphanage residents. The month of Ramadan is not only about enduring hunger and thirst, but also about kindness and sharing. The teenagers who participated enthusiastically, They presented this takjil with a smile and a warm greeting to every resident of the orphanage, forging a deeper bond between them. Apart from decorating the month of Ramadan with beads and takjil, this youth movement also collects and donates basic food ingredients to orphanages. Rice, oil, sugar and other basic necessities are neatly packed and handed over to the orphanage administrators to ensure that every child and poor person in the orphanage can celebrate the month of Ramadan with happiness and fullness. Not only does this youth movement bring material, it also brings enthusiasm and joy to the residents of the orphanage. They spend time together, listen to each other’s life stories, and strengthen each other. Every small action they take not only helps physically, but also provides meaningful emotional support for each individual in the home.

The youth sharing movement in the month of Ramadan at the Abdul Kadir Kurnia Orphanage is not just a social activity, but is a symbol of the values of togetherness, empathy and care. This theme may be related to efforts to reduce social and economic inequality in society in accordance with SDG 1 Poverty Eradication, by providing support to those in need, especially in the month of Ramadan. In the light of the blessed month of Ramadan, they show that with a little effort and care, we can make a big difference in the lives of others. Hopefully this spirit of sharing will continue to burn and inspire more people to do good around them.
