International Conference on Arabic Language, Literature and Teaching (MEDLE) organized by the Department of Arabic Literature, State University of Malang

Saturday, September 3, 2022 – The Medal Committee has successfully organized the International Conference on Arabic Language, Literature, and Teaching chaired by Dr. Muhammad Alfan. The conference took place virtually through Zoom with more than 170 participants from any country, both students and teachers of Arabic. I wrote in my program report that 21 speakers participated in presenting their articles on the Arabic language, education, and literature. They were master’s level students and lecturers at universities around the world. The program was divided into four sessions; one was the primary session, and the rest were parallel sessions. First, participants entered the main session and enjoyed talks by four speakers: Prof. Mujab Al-Adwani from the International Society and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Muhammad Issa Al-Hourani from Al Ain Abu Dhabi University in the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Wafa Abdel Razzaq from the Global Organization for Creativity for Peace and You in London, and Professor Dr. Noor Al-Murtada from the State University of Malang in Indonesia. Then, everyone entered their chosen parallel session. Each parallel session had five speakers. This program has many benefits because everyone who knows and loves Arabic is gathered in one program, researching the Arabic sciences. This program aims to discover the Arabic language’s sciences and expand the knowledge and information of the Arabic language, its teaching, and its literature.
