APSMI 3rd National Congress and MBKM Coordination of Mandarin Study Program Association

The Association of Indonesian Mandarin Study Programs (APSMI) is an organization for Mandarin Chinese Language/Literature/Education and Sinology Study Programs at public and private universities throughout Indonesia. APSMI holds the APSMI National Congress and International Seminar every three years. The International Seminar was born on August 5, 2022, organized by the Faculty of Education, Language, and Culture, Universal University of Batam, and attended by nine speakers from within the country and abroad. The speakers came from Jinan University, China; Chi Nan University, China-Taipei; National University; Universal University; Surabaya State University, MARA University of Technology, Malaysia; National Museum of Singapore; Bunda Mulia University. The event was held from 08.00-18.00. The first session was the opening, art program, and opening remarks. The second session was the presentation of material from the speakers, the third session was the continuation of the production of material from the speakers, and the fourth session was the presentation of presenters per group. Two hundred participants attended this activity: 48 participants offline, and 152 attended online via Zoom.

The 2022 APSMI Congress was held on August 6, 2022. This activity was held from 08.00-20.00 at Universal University. The first activity carried out was the presentation of the work report of the APSMI chairman for the 2018-2022 period and the financial information to all APSMI administrators who attended offline accompanied by the APSMI core management. After the presentation of the work report by the chairman and treasurer, the next activity was the election of the chairman of APSMI for 2022-2025, which was carried out by consensus. The elected chairman compiled the core board for the next period and discussed and ratified the APSMI bylaws for the 2022-2025 period. After the congress was completed, the discussion and determination of the Profile of graduates, SLOs, and Study Materials of the Study Program continued by the division of discussion groups: the education group, the Chinese literature and culture group, and the D3 / D4 group. The last activity was the coordination of MBKM between study programs, and the lecturers shared information and experiences related to MBKM that had been implemented in their respective universities.
