UM Students Prepare for HSK 4 and HSKK Mandarin Proficiency Exams through Intensive Training

Malang, [30 Agustus 2022]* – The students of Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) from the 2019 cohort are gearing up to assess their Mandarin language proficiency through the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) Level 4 and HSKK (Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi) Intermediate exams scheduled for September 3, 2022. To prepare thoroughly, the Department of Mandarin Language Education at UM has organized a two-day intensive training session for HSK 4 and HSKK on August 29-30, 2022.

HSK is a standardized exam used to measure Mandarin language proficiency among non-native speakers, including international students, newcomers from outside China, and members of ethnic minority groups within China. The exam is divided into six levels, from elementary to the highest level, Level 6. Meanwhile, HSKK is a specialized test assessing Mandarin speaking ability, categorized into three groups: elementary, intermediate, and advanced.

The primary objectives of this training activity are as follows:

1. **Enhancing Student Proficiency:** This training is designed to help students improve their skills for the HSK 4 and HSKK exams.

2. **Guidance and Feedback:** Students will receive valuable guidance and feedback on effectively tackling HSK 4 and HSKK exam questions.

3. **Overview of the Exams:** This activity aims to give students a general overview of the HSK 4 and HSKK exams, including the exam format and necessary preparations.

The HSK 4 and HSKK training sessions were conducted at the UM Mandarin Language Center for two days. UM students are enthusiastic about honing their Mandarin language skills through this training, hoping to achieve excellent results in the upcoming September exams.
