Batik Ecoprint activities as a P5 Program (Student Profile Strengthening Project). Pancasila) with SD Negeri 2 students Slow down.
The Pancasila Student Profile is the character and abilities that are built in daily life and are lived in each individual student through the culture of the education unit, intra-curricular learning, projects to strengthen Pancasila student profiles (co-curricular learning), and extracurricular activities. With this Pancasila student profile, it is hoped that they will be able to embody the values contained in Pancasila such as having faith in and piety to God Almighty, having noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning and creativity. One way to make this happen is through the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (P5) Project, which is cross-disciplinary learning in observing and thinking about solutions to problems in the surrounding environment to strengthen various competencies in the Pancasila Student Profile. In implementing the P5 itself, I took part in the ecoprint batik activity which is one of the work programs of the Teaching Campus team at SD Negeri 2 Ngrencak itself. Because it is a teamwork program, all students from the Teaching Campus are implementing ecoprint activities. This ecoprint activity is intended for students of all levels, from grades 1-6. The implementation of this ecoprint activity is for 2 days. Where it starts on May 30-31 2021. For the first day it is carried out by low level classes starting from class 1-3, then the next day it is carried out by high level classes starting from class 4-6. This ecoprint batik itself aims to introduce a more modern batik culture. As well as being able to take advantage of natural materials that exist around the environment. This ecoprint activity is expected to be an alternative to formal learning in the classroom. On the other hand, this can develop and hone children’s skills, creativity, imagination, and cooperation. With this activity can also add
students’ insights and experiences in the process of making ecoprint batik using the pounding technique. This activity was carried out in a classroom where the objective was the students of SD Negeri 2 Ngrencak, Panggul District, Trenggalek Regency.
This activity was previously not included in the work program that we planned. Because there was one work program that could not be executed, we looked for other alternative activities that could be carried out more easily. For this reason, the replacement program is the ecoprint activity. Before carrying out the activity, we coordinate in advance with the teacher who will later be forwarded to the teacher
other teachers because of the time of implementation in learning hours. After obtaining permission from the school, the implementation of the ecoprint activity itself can be carried out immediately. Far away from the day we have prepared the necessary materials such as cloth. We also tried some leaves that could be used before the children brought them. Because we felt ready for everything, we coordinated further with students from each class to bring the tools and materials needed for this ecoprint activity. The next day, three classes that were concurrently gathered in one class to make it easier to accompany them. For each class we provide one piece of white cloth measuring 1 x 1 meter. This is also to reduce the budget and also later the results of this ecoprint can be used as tablecloths in each class. Before the children execute the work, we provide an example of how to make it. From rolling out used banners as the bottom mat, rolling out the cloth, then arranging the leaves on the cloth as the motif, then covering it with clear plastic, which you can then start hitting with wood. The process itself is not too long, because the children themselves take turns in making it. When finished, the cloth is dried first before being washed clean. The process of this ecoprint activity can add to students’ experiences in terms of art introduction. In addition, it also includes the implementation of the P5 independent curriculum program. This activity can be a source of new and more interesting products, which can be applied to several products such as tablecloths, curtains, clothes, or others.
